My Favorite Valentine’s Day Gifts To Give
Valentine’s Day is less than a month away so it’s time to gear up your romance game and find that perfect gift. I personally don’t have a love interest, but I do still celebrate the holiday with family and friends. Here are some my favorite Valentine’s Day gifts to give.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
One of the ways I spread the Love on Valentine’s Day is by sending food gifts like these Chocolate Covered Strawberries from Shari’s Berries at Berries.com
My mouth is watering just looking at them. I know many people have started healthy New Year Resolutions, but even so this still would be a great gift to give to your loved one. Everyone deserves a treat once in a while. So with every bite they will still get something healthy with a little naughty thrown in.
In the past I have tried to make these, but mine never quite turn out the way these look. They taste good but I’m always lacking in the presentation part of producing a fun creative sweet gift. So I’ve turned to the help of the professionals and order mine online, ensuring that the recipient not only receives a gift that has quality taste, but also will behold their eye with beauty. If you too would like to send an edible gift grab these coupon codes from Shari’s Berries before you place your order.
Crocheted Valentine’s Day Cards
Another way I like to spread the love on Valentine’s Day is by making romantic handcrafted gifts. So recently one rainy weekend I grabbed a cup of Joe and my crochet hooks and created some delightful gifts that I am planning on handing out on that special day. One of the handmade gifts I made were crocheted Valentine’s Day cards.
This idea originated when one day I was browsing a local greeting card display and thought to myself, how can I put a unique twist on the standard greeting card. Then I remembered reading in a craft magazine about crocheting with paper. A light bulb went off in my head and ta da! These sweet crocheted greeting cards were born. Isn’t it just so oh romantic. I love how they turned out. Don’t you?
This project was so easy to do. I just used a standard hole punch and eyeballing it, punched holes all around the card. Then I used a crochet hook, some yarn and single crocheted in each hole. I made two rounds. This idea would also be cute with a crocheted hanger at the top. You could also add ribbon and tiny bows.
Itty Bitty Crocheted Hearts
I also made some adorable little itty bitty baby hearts. Just to cute and oh, so simple. These crocheted hearts could be used to adorn hats, clothes, purses, granny squares or for just about anything.
I used one to attach to my crocheted bookmark. You could even slip one into an envelope with a handwritten letter. Spritz with some perfume and your letter will not only delivery loves of word, but also a sweet-smelling aroma. Let your imagination run free! If you want to make your own itty bitty hearts the pattern is really very simple.
Ch 4. Work 3 tr (triple crochet) into first ch, 3 dc, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, 3 dc, 3 tr. Ch 3, Slipstitch into center and fasten off. You can add-on to the rounds if you would like your heart to be larger.
Romantic Crocheted Bookmarks
Another favorite homemade gift I like to give are romantic crocheted bookmarks. These would make a nice gift tucked inside a book to give to friend or teacher. I made some for all my kids since we are big fans of reading.
This is another simple crochet project. All you need to do is make your crochet chain as short or as long as you like. Double Crochet in each chain. Finish off. Then attach a sweet itty bitty heart and tassel. That’s it!
I hope you enjoyed these Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas. This Valentine’s Day take the time to let your family and friends know how much you value their relationship by spreading a little love with a gift of appreciation like the one’s above. Remember it really is the thought that counts!
Wishing you a lovely and Happy Valentine’s Day!
Kim
